Is my new guy friend turned off?

I met this guy a couple of months ago,we talked on the phone a few times and then decided to go on a date. We went on three great dates but at the end of each one, all he wanted to do is make out. I asked him if we could slow it down a little and focus more on a friendship. The next day I texted him to say "goodmorning" and his response was dry when b4 he would respond with "goodmorning sweetie or honey",so I am wondering has his feelings changed and should I count my losses on this one?
