Functionalism, conflict theory or symbolic interactionism? help.?

I think you are right. Structural functionalism emphasizes harmony, balance, order and stability. Symbolic interactionism studies the social constructed nature of reality; I don't think it really cares whether this reality is ridden by conflict or not. Symbolic interactionism is notorious for being apolitical. Social conflict theory on the other hand promotes conflict in the name of change. It wouldn't attempt to harmonize everyone with a common language, but would rather call on oppressed groups to develop their own language and to break away from the dominant way of speaking and thinking. Final answer: structural functionalism.
