Can I set Yahoo Mail to remove all my mail from the server?

I thought I had set my yahoo mail account to remove mail from the server after a period of time. Recently, while away from home, I logged on and saw that all my mail was still on the server. Can I set mail to remove my emails from the server promptly? I am concerned with security and am afraid if someone compromised my yahoo mail account there goes my security.
